Really cheap and has a ton of destinations, so long as you don't mind a layover in Manila. I found round-trip tickets from Seoul, South Korea to Dubai, U.A.E for less than USD $500. I flew this airline from Seoul to Cebu, Philippines for less than USD $200, in 2013. The location closest to Australia that they service is Bali, Indonesia. It may seem like a hassle, but it saved me a lot of money.

Re: Top 5 South East Asian Budget Airlines

I'm trying to work out the cheapest way to fly into china from one of any of the neighbouring South East Asian countries around mid June time. Any suggestions? Because the above airlines seem mostly to be still rather pricey. Or, alternatively, what routes via bus or train could I book in advance (and get e-booking confirmation beforehand) across the border into China?
And similarly, what is the cheapest method of leaving the country to Mongolia afterwards where I can get online confirmation of my booking? I hate to be so picky, but the visa requirements now seem to require proof of pre-booked entry and exit tickets for the country and I'm trying to work out the best way of acquiring such confirmation.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: A His and Her Review of the Lowepro Passport Sling Bag

I think you've nailed it- it's a great urban/touring bag, but it's not for strenuous climbing or trekking, where you need a backpack-style bag that distributes the load better. I've used it to carry an Olympus E-M5 and lenses on two tours in the Middle East, and it's performed admirably as a camera/day bag. Carrying it under your arm is a real security factor.

You're also right about its main weakness- the lack of internal compartments, so that small items pool at the bottom. There are two fixes for this. Lowepro have recognised the problem, and as a result you can (or will soon be able to) buy the Mark III model, which has an internal divider. If you already have a Sling, you can buy a small handbag organiser and some adhesive velcro strip, and attach the organiser to the velcro strip on the inside of the bag that attaches the padded insert. (I generally don't use the insert- I keep my camera wrapped in a domke sleeve)

Re: The Fairytale City of Prague

I love the rustic atmosphere of Prague. Actually, I'm planning to have some sort of a "cultural" tour around the Czech Republic for my thesis. And Prague seems to be the most logical, perfect starting point. Thanks too about the tip on the sausages. Hehehe!

Would you know any affordable hotels where I can stay? My planned itinerary requires me to stay for 2 weeks.

Re: Visiting Neuschwanstein Castle in Fussen, Germany

Great great post about a magical castle

Re: How to tell if you’re a Flashpacker!

I started backpacking when I was 50 & am doing it on & off, depending on who my travel companion is. Unfortunately where I live, those pretty camera bags for women aren't available and too expensive to order online as shipping would cost more than the bags themselves!
The Sling came recommended by a couple of friends and this "his and hers" review decided it for me. I just bought it and am happy with the bag. I can also take out the padded insert and use it with my other "girly" bags if I want too. Thanks.

Re: The Ultimate Perth Bucket List

If you are in perth, check out this site: http://www.meetup.com/The-B... They always have great stuff to do!

Re: Get Your Mud on in Fiji

We did Tin! I've unsuccessfully tried to win a few auctions but I think it's a huge money making concern for the owners only! Who's to know if they're not setting up their own people to bump the price up? I've also noticed by going through past auctions that a lot of the same winners are coming up quite frequently which seems not only strange but unfair. I think people should only be allowed to win 1 prize a month , not 6!

Re: One Cent Flights Review – The Cheapest Airfares in Australia

Hi Peter, great review. a question how long should I have to wait for an email with info on how to book my flight I won?
